Islamic Art is an important influence. A geometric construct on composite aluminum is raised on top of a gray base layer with a printed grid. The construct consists of Octagonal units of 8 squares surrounding an octagon. I call them “Octoquads”. Interstitial areas between these form 8 pointed stars.
